Mamelodi Sundowns defender Devine Lunga is set to return to the Warriors squad ahead of the World Cup qualifiers return leg against Ghana at the National Sports stadium in Harare on Tuesday. Lunga a surprise omission for Saturday’s clash in Ghana, had a big shout in the last two matches for Mamelodi Sundowns in which he scored in the first and scored in the second one. Warriors team manager Wellington Mpandare said they were going to announce the names of the four players who are going to replace the four England based stars who are barred from entering Zimbabwe because of the Covid-19 restrictions set by the UK government. Marvelous Nakamba, Jordan Zemura, Tendayi Darikwa and Brandon Galloway have all been barred from entering countries deemed red zones by the UK government. The four will only play the first leg in Cape Coast and return to their bases. “There will be replacements for the four guys who will be going back to the UK. So we are just waiting for the responses from the club’s that we requested,” Mpandare said. “As soon as we get the responses from the clubs, will let you know the players.” Speaking before departure for Ghana, Warriors coach Norman Mapeza commended Lunga’s performance at club level saying it brings competition to the national team. Meanwhile Teenage Hadebe is expected in Ghana Thursday morning having travelled from the United States via Ethiopia on Wednesday evening. Hadebe was denied exit from the United States on three occasions after some glitches with his Covid-19 card and some other documentation. He finally managed to board the plane with the assistance of an official from his club Houston Dynamo. Brandon Galloway has also arrived in Ghana after facing some challenges with his passport on Tuesday. The Warriors who are leaving no stone unturned in their quest for a positive result, will have two training sessions on Thursday, one in the morning and another in the afternoon.
