CAPE TOWN — Finance Minister Enoch Godongwana on Wednesday delivered South Africa’s 2022 budget speech.
The budget presentation is his inaugural budget since becoming finance minister in 2021 following the resignation of Tito Mboweni.
Minister Godongwana said excise duties on alcohol and tobacco will increase from 4.5% to 6.5%.
